Mural: La Bellotera
Mural “Muro Crítico Acorn Collecting”
The mural represents a woman collecting acorns, a traditional trade, typical of the villages of the reserve for the majority of the 20th century. In most cases, this job was carried out illegally, which explains the worried face of the woman and the presence of two policemen.
Harvesting acorns from private estates was punishable by law, so these women took pains to hide them from the police, sometimes under firewood, as is the case in this mural.
